Gansu Medical College is a full-time medical undergraduate college with a long history and fine tradition. The College is located in Pingliang City, Gansu Province, at the eastern foot of Kongtong Mountain, the first Taoist mountain in Zhong Ling. It is a full-time medical undergraduate college established by the Ministry of Education and approved by the Gansu Provincial People's Government. The school, formerly known as Pingliang Health in Gansu Province, was founded in 1958. In 2003, it was upgraded to Pingliang Medical College, and in 20 15, it was upgraded to a medical undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
The school covers an area of 805 mu, with a building area of 222,000 square meters and fixed assets of 360 million yuan. At present, there are 28 party and government and teaching and scientific research institutions, 1229 faculty members (including affiliated hospitals) and 5850 students of all levels and types.
