The Regulations on Fisheries Management in Jiangsu Province (revised for the sixth time on July 3, 20201) clearly stipulates that fishing is prohibited all the year round in the national and provincial aquatic germplasm conservation zone and aquatic biological nature reserves; During the fishing ban, fishing is prohibited in Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River.

Provisions on the punishment of fishing ban

Illegal fishing in the no-fishing area shall be ordered by the competent agricultural and rural authorities to stop the illegal act and confiscate the catch and illegal income; If the circumstances are serious, the fishing gear shall be confiscated and a fine of more than 2,000 yuan from 200 yuan shall be imposed. If there are other provisions in the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Wild Animals, those provisions shall prevail.

Those who engage in productive fishing, purchase, process and sell illegally caught catches and their products in no-fishing areas shall be punished in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of the Yangtze River; Acquisition and sale of catch and its products caught in no-fishing areas, such as recreational fishing. , by the agricultural and rural authorities and market supervision departments in accordance with the division of responsibilities shall be confiscated, and impose a fine of more than two times and less than five times the value of the catch and its products and illegal income.
