Lingao County is directly under the jurisdiction of Hainan Province, and does not belong to the city. It is an important part of Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration. Located in the northwest of Hainan Island, it is adjacent to Chengmai County in the east, Danzhou City in the southwest, Beibu Gulf in the northwest and Leizhou Peninsula across the sea in the north, so Lingao County in Hainan does not belong to this city.

The tourist attractions in Lingao County include Wen Lan Cultural Park, Caiqiao Mangrove Nature Reserve, Lingao Corner and Juren Waterfall.
