The author believes that in order to better practice the party's purpose under the conditions of market economy, the following work should be done well.

It is natural that people's thoughts are complex and diverse when society is in the period of alternating transformation between old and new systems. It is not surprising that some party member wavered, hesitated or even abandoned the Party's purpose. But it is precisely because of this that Party organizations at all levels need to strengthen the education of the Party's purpose and give correct ideological guidance to party member cadres. On the surface, the pursuit of personal interests and the practice of the party's purpose are opposite. In fact, the two are not contradictory. Market economy requires that the realization of individual interests must be based on meeting the needs of the public and being accepted by the society. It promotes the development and progress of the whole society by giving full play to the vitality of each cell and everyone's labor creation. Therefore, through legal labor and fair competition, party member strives for the interests of individuals and groups, that is, the process of creating and accumulating wealth for society, the process of promoting the continuous development of social productive forces, and thus the process of serving the people.
