Down with Kongjiadian was the slogan of the May 4th Movement, which has always been regarded as "common sense". Since 1980' s, especially since the emergence of the May 4th whole anti-tradition theory and related theories of "fracture" and "emotionalization", the research circles of modern history, philosophy and modern literature in China have begun to question the slogan itself in response to these assertions.

On the whole, however, there is a lack of vigilance against the nihility of the slogan at home and abroad, a lack of full consideration of its birth in the post-May 4th period, and a lack of more detailed combing and analysis of the truth of the "Dajiapu" movement.
