Chengdu-chongqing railway, chengdu-chongqing railway for short, is a Class I passenger and freight common line of the national railway connecting China, Sichuan and Chongqing. The line is east-west, which is one of the railway trunk lines in southwest China and one of the three horizontal and five vertical railway trunk lines in China.
Chengdu-chongqing railway starts from Chengdu Railway Station and ends at Chongqing Railway Station, with Chongqing Railway Station → Chengdu Railway Station as the upward direction. On the contrary, chengdu-chongqing railway refers to the Chengdu-Chongqing railway built by 1952, with a passenger mileage of 504km. From Chengdu Railway Station, the terminal of Baocheng Line, it leads eastward, passes through Chen Jiawan Station, turns due south into jianyang city, passes through Ziyang, Zizhong County, Neijiang City and Longchang City, turns due east, passes through Yongchuan District of Chongqing, extends southward, connects with the Yangtze River at Zhuyangxi Station, turns northeast at Baisha Station, and reaches Chongqing Station along the north bank of the Yangtze River.
