Shuozhou City is located in the northern part of Shanxi Province, in the border area of Shanxi and Mongolia. It is a new city with the reform and opening up. The development and construction of Pingshuo Antaibao open-pit coal mine, the first large-scale Sino-foreign cooperative project in the early days of reform and opening up, gave birth to the formal establishment of Shuozhou City in 1989+ 10.
Shuozhou has beautiful mountains and rivers and rich resources. North, west and south are surrounded by mountains, with an average elevation of 1000 meters. Rivers belong to the Yellow River, Haihe River and Sanggan River 179 km, with a drainage area of 7,604 square kilometers. There are 35 kinds of mineral resources such as coal, iron, bauxite and kaolin, and the coal reserves are 494.438 billion tons, accounting for one sixth of the province.
Shuozhou history
Shuozhou has a long history and rich humanities. Since ancient times, the farming civilization in the Central Plains and the nomadic civilization in the grasslands have collided and blended. Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, one of the three wonders of the world, has the oldest existing Great Wall of Beiqi, which is relatively complete for 327 kilometers. Wan Li Great Wall and Wan Li Tea Horse Ancient Road meet at Youyukou to kill tigers.
Many outstanding figures have emerged in history, such as Zhang Liao, the general of the Three Kingdoms, Weichi Gong, the famous Tang Dynasty, Li, the founding emperor of the later Tang Dynasty, the cabinet minister of the Ming Dynasty, lin li, the national "double hundred heroes", and outstanding contributors to reform and opening up.
