May 4th Youth Day originated from the May 4th Movement of China in 19 19. The May 4th Patriotic Movement was a patriotic movement that was thoroughly anti-imperialist and anti-feudal, and it was also the beginning of China's new-democratic revolution.

During the May 4th Movement, people who opposed China's morality, ideology and culture promoted the New Culture Movement, and even put forward slogans such as "Down with Kongjiadian" and "Down with chastity archway". The May 4th Movement further promoted the development of anti-feudal thought, and formed a tit-for-tat situation with the retro trend of thought that praised China culture. The ideological origin of China's language policy mostly comes from the Westernization theory during the May 4th Movement.
