Using net brush method
Make sure that your router can be refreshed on the Web, of course, most routers can. Web page refresh is actually the "Update Router Firmware" function in the router settings menu. Although it is not to update the firmware of the same factory, it can be used, and this upgrade method is the most convenient.
1. Confirm that the router supports DD and there is no special refresh method. This tutorial takes Linksys WRT150 kV1wireless router as an example.
2. Download the firmware version suitable for the router. Usually support Chinese or other netizens to sinicize. It is best to prepare a copy of the original firmware of the router for recovery.
Note: If you want to download the latest version, you can download it in the Feko directory, but the firmware in this directory is not the final version, and belongs to SVN(Subversion). It is not recommended to do this if it is not for new products or if the router has compatibility problems. 4. The latter will enter the boot mode to load new firmware on the router, which has the advantage of avoiding the failure caused by insufficient memory.
5. If you are prompted that the refresh failed, it is recommended to restart the router before refreshing. If it still fails after restarting, then you should analyze the specific reasons to see if the version is not suitable. For example, is the firmware too large to exceed the capacity of the router?
Note: downloaded DD firmware usually has a bin extension. If the router does not support this format upgrade, you can try to change the extension to a supported type. It is strongly recommended that you use wired router to refresh; Do not turn off the power of the router during the refresh process, and do not operate until the refresh is over.
3. Log in to Linksys management interface → firmware upgrade, and click Browse to find the downloaded DD-WRT firmware. This router can be upgraded in two ways, one is a regular "upgrade" and the other is a "security upgrade".

Brush with TFTP method
TFTP is a command built into Windows. Operate at the command prompt. To refresh TFTP, connect the computer to the LAN port of the router with a network cable.
1. Confirm that the router supports DD and can only use TFTP refresh method. Then download the corresponding DD firmware version according to the router model. Some routers have special instructions for using TFTP to brush DD, so be sure to read it carefully.
2. Select Run in the Start menu, then enter CMD and press Enter to enter the command prompt. Enter ipconfig /all to learn the IP address of the current router. Generally, it defaults to192.5438+068.5438+0.1. It is recommended to assign addresses manually. Prevent IP from changing after reboot. Please set the computer and router on the same network segment, such as 192. 168.438+0.2. However, put the dd-wrt.bin firmware file in the root directory of drive C.3. Suppose the router IP is 192. 168. 1, enter the command ping192.168.1-t, and press Enter to see if it doesn't work. If it works, then there is no problem. Then restart the router (through the Web interface).
4. Because it needs to be refreshed at startup, enter TFTP-I192.168.1.1putdd-wrt.bin first, but don't press Enter yet.
5. Restart the router (some routers must use the reset button to enter TFTP mode) and press Enter. Another way of saying this is to look at the router lights, wait until all the lights are flashing, and then enter the car and enter the command. There will be a success prompt after success. If it fails, try again. After success, you need to wait patiently for a few minutes and don't do anything.
Refresh failed:
Disconnect the power supply and restart first, and press the reset button to see if there is any change. If there is no change, try refreshing by TFTP. If not, you can buy a JTAG line that matches the router, through which you can save the router. Some sellers of Taobao will also provide free life-saving services during the warranty period.
Don't blindly increase power in PS: DD-WRT, after all, too strong signal will do harm to the body. If the signal is enough, the standard signal power can be reduced appropriately, thus reducing the radiation of wireless signals to human body. It has little effect on some routers. On the contrary, it increases wireless interference or leads to the damage of wireless network card, which leads to frequent disconnection and no signal. Moreover, the damage is irreversible and irreparable. If it is broken, it will become a brick, which may lead to the scrapping of the route. Please remember!
