"Born in, why born with a beam?" It is a famous saying of Zhou Yu in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Luo Guanzhong used these six words to vividly express Zhou Yu's complex mentality of envy and jealousy towards Zhuge Liang. In fact, in real history, Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu have a cooperative relationship. Together, they planned and organized Battle of Red Cliffs, laying a solid foundation for the Wu-Shu alliance and the Three Kingdoms.
If this sentence is replaced by a word, it is very appropriate to use it between Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi. Zhuge Liang was one of the greatest wizards in the world during the Three Kingdoms period. He stood out among many talents in the Three Kingdoms period and gained the trust and reuse of Liu Bei and Liu Chan. It can be said that it is time to show off the economy, talk and laugh, and decide the world. Who knows that Sima Yi was killed by oblique stabbing, which almost made Zhuge Liang's lifelong efforts go down the drain.
Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang are not only contemporaries, but also very similar in age. Sima Yi was born in 179, and Zhuge Liang was born in 18 1 year, only two years apart. However, Sima Yi's political career was rather bumpy, and he was a late bloomer.
Zhuge Liang succeeded in his youth and assisted Liu Bei in the Three Kingdoms. When he became famous all over the world, Sima Yi was still unknown, and had been doing general secretarial work under Cao Cao, such as the family background and main book of Prime Minister Cao Dong. It was not until Cao Cao's death that Cao Cao came to power. Sima Yi was reused by virtue of his good relationship with Cao Cao, and he walked from behind the scenes to the stage, and soon shined brilliantly.
In 228 AD, Zhuge Liang finally met Sima Yi for the first time, and the two sides launched a wonderful battle of wits around the strategic new city. As early as 2 19 AD, Guan Yu launched the battle of Xiangfan and northern expedition to Cao Wei. As a result, Cao Cao and Sun Quan were caught in a desperate situation. At the time of crisis, Guan Yu asked Liu Da, the prefect of three neighboring counties, for help. Both of them refused to send troops, and finally Guan Yu was defeated and died.
Afterwards, Meng Da was afraid that Liu Bei would blame him, and there was a contradiction with Liu Feng. He simply rebelled and dedicated three counties in Shang Yong to Cao Wei. Cao of Wei was overjoyed and won three counties in Shang Yong without fighting. He merged the three counties into a new city and appointed Meng Da as the magistrate of the new city. During his reign, Cao Pi trusted Meng Da very much, promoted him to rank and entrusted him with an important task. Mengda is proud of the spring breeze.
After Cao Cao's death, Cao Cao ascended the throne and began to neglect Mengda. Being unhappy, Meng Da felt insecure, so he was half-hearted and secretly sent someone to contact Zhuge Liang, saying that he would defect. Zhuge Liang is very happy. "If Yin wants to seduce you, you can recruit with a few books and repay each other." The letters between them are very close.
However, although Meng Da had the intention to surrender, it was much cry and little rain. He just shouted slogans, but he didn't put them into action. He has been wandering and hesitating. Zhuge Liang was afraid of sleeping, so he used a trick of double ambush. He sent Guo Mo, a native of Shu, to pretend to surrender to Wei, and went to Wei Xingtai to guard the sacred instrument, "because he leaked his plan", which intentionally or unintentionally exposed Meng Da's conspiracy of rebellion. Zhuge Liang's wishful thinking is to cut off Mengda's posterior approach and force Mengda to start work as soon as possible, which can be described as biting. Who knows that the appearance of Sima Yi made Zhuge Liang self-defeating. Cao Rui learned that Meng Da was going to rebel, so he entrusted Qiu Sima Yi to handle the matter. Sima yi calculated that he first used a plan to slow down the troops and wrote a letter to Meng Da.
In his letter, Sima Yi comforted Meng Da by saying that "the general abandoned Liu Bei and went to the country, and the general of the State Committee was appointed as a battlefield general to save Shu, which can be described as a day's work", indicating that the Emperor of Wei still trusted him.
At the same time, he warned Meng Da: "Shu people are stupid and smart, and everyone hates him." Zhuge Liang wants to break the other side, but he has no choice. "Zhuge Liang deliberately provoked the relationship between you and Wei, and frankly told him that the information of Mengda rebellion was leaked by Zhuge Liang.
Mengda is not a decisive person. After receiving Sima Yi's letter, he became more suspicious and continued to stay put. In this way, it won precious buffer time for Sima Yi. Sima yi took the opportunity to get ready to go, mobilized heavy troops, traveled long distances overnight, and went straight to the new city.
Zhuge Liang was shocked when he learned that, on the one hand, he wrote a letter to Mengda, urging him to arise as soon as possible, and on the other hand, he sent a team to meet Mengda in Xincheng. Who knows that Sima Yi is also a chess player, and he sent an army to guard Qiao 'an, the fortress on the only way for the Shu army, to block the Shu army.
Finally, Sima Yi fell from the sky and suddenly appeared in the new city with a great army. Mengda was at a loss, so he rushed into battle, organized troops to resist Sima Yi, and hoped Zhuge Liang would send reinforcements to meet him. As a result, Zhuge Liang's reinforcements were blocked in Qiao 'an, Xicheng, and couldn't get through at all. Mengda was completely desperate. His men mutinied, killed Mengda and surrendered to Sima Yi. The new town is still controlled by Wei, and Zhuge Liang draws water with a sieve.
The battle of New Town was the first head-on collision between Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi, which ended in Zhuge Liang's complete failure. Their IQ is different, Zhuge Liang is still much worse than Sima Yi.
