This activity refers to a national competition jointly organized by China Statistical Education Society and the National Steering Committee for Postgraduate Education in Applied Statistics.

The contest is aimed at undergraduates and postgraduates in colleges and universities all over the country, aiming at improving students' enthusiasm for learning statistics and encouraging them to apply statistical knowledge to solve practical problems. Through the contest, students can establish statistical models, use computer technology to process data, strengthen innovative thinking awareness, and improve data mining and data analysis capabilities.

The contest is held every two years and is one of the largest and most rigorous statistical disciplines in China.
