Zhoukou City is located in the southeast of Henan Province, China, where Shahe, He Ying and Jia Luhe meet. It borders Fuyang City in Anhui Province in the east, Luohe City and Xuchang City in Henan Province in the west, Zhumadian City in the south and Kaifeng City and Shangqiu City in the north. Highway, railway and waterway transportation are interwoven into a network, with national highway and provincial highway 13, of which national highway 3 1 1 runs through the east and west, and national highway 106 runs through the north and south.
In 2008, the upgrading and reconstruction of electrified double-track of Luofu Railway was fully launched.
