Secondly, after the Manchu entered the customs, in order to strengthen the rule, many records of Nanming's resistance to the Qing Dynasty were deleted. He also said that before the Revolution of 1911, the revolutionary party enriched the records of Nanming in order to strengthen the work of anti-Qing public opinion. Because the records of Nanming experienced a decrease and an increase, the authenticity of the records was in doubt, so it was not recorded in the orthodoxy of Ming Dynasty for the time being.

The Qing court has always denied the legitimacy of the Nanming regime, reprimanded Emperor Anzong as a pseudo-axe king and Emperor Longwu as a pseudo-Tang king, and deliberately elevated Chongzhen's status as the last emperor of Daming, in order to show the legitimacy of Manchu revenge on Chongzhen and the legitimacy of the Qing court's inheritance of China's reunification.
