The survey targets all legal entities, industrial activity units and self-employed households engaged in the secondary and tertiary industries in China. Whether the propaganda work is in place and effective is directly related to the smooth and effective implementation of the census and the data quality of the census. Based on the previous census experience, the author puts forward some views for your reference. First, the importance of economic census propaganda. Previous census experience shows that publicity is a pioneer and an important part of census work. The economic census is not as widely known as the population census. People are familiar with the concept of economy, but it is very vague. Most people will think that the economy is "related to money". If you don't publicize it, few people will understand its true meaning, let alone know that it is closely related to themselves. Therefore, through publicity, we should repeatedly explain to the masses what an economic census is and its purpose and significance. Let everyone know that the economic census is a large-scale survey of national conditions and national strength organized by the state, which provides information basis for studying and formulating national economic and social development plans. It is necessary to repeatedly explain to the masses the confidentiality principle of the economic census, explain to the respondents that all the economic data they provide will never be released to the public, eliminate their doubts as much as possible, gain their trust, and make them actively cooperate with the investigation. Second, the main problems existing in previous economic census propaganda work (1) Difficulties in raising funds. The specific work of economic census is carried out at the county (district) and town street levels, and the census funds are managed at different levels. The lack of funds also limits the development of classic propaganda work, resulting in low enthusiasm of personnel and a mere formality of propaganda, which makes the classic work unable to be carried out smoothly. (2) The objects of economic census are numerous and complicated, and the respondents' cooperation is low. Without a targeted publicity plan according to the actual situation, it is difficult to eliminate the feelings of incomprehension, distrust, exclusion and even resistance of the census objects, especially some small traders, and it is also impossible to really relieve the ideological concerns of some census objects. Many people throw them into the trash can without looking carefully. Therefore, this traditional propaganda method is difficult to attract people's attention and can not achieve good publicity results. 3. Suggestions on Strengthening the Propaganda Work of Economic Census (1) The implementation of funds is the guarantee. Economic census is a huge social system project, involving a wide range of industries. However, many interviewees lack the overall concept and long-term concept and sense of social responsibility, so their sense of cooperation in the census is not high.
