When was the State Science and Technology Commission established?
State Science and Technology Commission The State Science and Technology Commission, referred to as the State Science and Technology Commission for short, was once the department in charge of state science and technology affairs in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Council, China. China first established the Science Planning Commission and the National Technical Commission on 1956. 1958 the two committees merged into the state science and technology commission, 1970 merged with China academy of sciences, 1977 re-established the state science and technology commission, and 1998 changed its name to the Ministry of Science and Technology.
