Material characteristics:
(1) Bio-base: the raw material is bio-base PLA (polylactic acid);
(2) Degradable: taking industrial compost as an example, it can be completely degraded into water and carbon dioxide within half a year;
(3) Low carbon: Because the raw materials come from bio-base, the carbon reduction effect is remarkable, and its carbon footprint and carbon emission are reduced by about 70% compared with traditional fossil-based plastics such as PP;
(4) Safety: Compared with the traditional fossil-based polymer, it has reliable biological safety and is environmentally friendly;
(5) Beauty: high transparency, low haze, good surface gloss and excellent printing performance;
(6) Machinability: excellent processability, good folding stability and kink retention;
(7) heat sealing: it has good heat sealing performance and can be directly used for heat sealing or thermal compounding with corresponding substrates;
(8) Mechanical properties: It has good mechanical properties, and its tensile strength is much higher than that of ordinary bio-based degradable films, which is close to that of traditional BOPP films;
(9) Antibacterial property: the product has good antibacterial property, and the combination of various antibacterial agents can achieve good antibacterial effect, effectively prolonging the shelf life of meat and fruit foods.
Application prospect:
Known as "ideal polymer material", BOPLA can be widely used in disposable film materials such as packaging tapes, flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, and functional film materials such as food, electronic products, books, gift boxes and clothing. It has a wide range of positive significance for packaging reduction, environmental protection and carbon reduction. With the large-scale production and application of BOPLA in China, it will promote the further popularization of bio-based degradable materials, and help to achieve the strategic goal of "peak carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality" in China.
