Brief introduction of Xiaogan College Student Union:
Under the leadership of the Party and the guidance of the Communist Youth League, Xiaogan College Student Union, like the Communist Youth League of * * *, is the bridge and link between the Party and the vast number of young people, and cooperates with the Communist Youth League of * * * to carry out its work. Adhere to the basic principles of standardization, high efficiency, harmony and development, carry forward the spirit of serving students wholeheartedly, and be a self-service, self-education and self-management student association.
In 2003, with the efforts of the Ministry of Education and the Youth League Committee, the former Xiaogan College Student Union and the former Youth League Committee merged into the current Xiaogan College Student Union. Under the leadership of the Party Committee of Xiaogan College and the direct guidance of the Xiaogan College Committee of the Communist Youth League, the students' union of the school will work independently and accept suggestions and help from other parties. Xiaogan College Student Union is the bridge and link between the school and the students, and plays an important role in the construction, study and life of students on campus.
As the core organization of the whole school, on the one hand, it should rely on the work priorities of the school in different periods, make timely arrangements, make careful plans and organize carefully, and cooperate with the school extensively and deeply through healthy, beneficial and colorful extracurricular activities to promote the spiritual civilization construction of the school. On the other hand, we should unblock the democratic channels between schools and students, actively express and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of students, and create favorable conditions for their all-round development and healthy growth. In the process of quality education, we should conscientiously implement the policy of "self-service, self-management and self-education", adhere to the working route and method of "coming from classmates, taking root in classmates and serving classmates", devote ourselves to the construction of campus culture, give full play to the carrier role of students' union, unite and guide students to study hard, and be willing to contribute to cultivating high-quality qualified talents across the century.
The purpose of Xiaogan College Student Union:
Unite and guide the whole school students to resolutely implement the Party's line, principles and policies, organize the whole school students to seriously study Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, Theory of Three Represents and Scientific Outlook on Development, adhere to the quality development of college students as the center, serve the reform and development of the school, serve the growth of the majority of students, and cultivate and bring up socialist builders and successors with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and beauty. In line with the concept of "all for students, all for students", it plays an important role in all affairs of the school.
The basic tasks of Xiaogan College Student Union:
(1) Give full play to the role of "bridge" and "link". Dredge the normal democratic channels between students and schools, listen to and reflect the suggestions, opinions and demands of students, participate in the democratic management of school affairs involving students, and represent and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of students.

Xiaogan College Student Union Functions:
(A) the function of campus culture construction

The basic structure of Xiaogan College Student Union;
There is a chairman and four vice-chairmen to form the presidium. The presidium consists of fifteen departments: Office, Learning Department, Rights Protection Department, Girls' Department, Psychology Department, Organization Department, Literature and Art Department, Logistics Department, Propaganda Department, Network Department, Equipment Department, External Relations Department, Practice Department, Sports Department and Public Security Department.
