The historical background of the Ming Dynasty?
More than 50 years after the demise of the Southern Song Dynasty, the rulers of the Yuan Dynasty became increasingly brutal, and finally a peasant uprising broke out at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. Zhu Yuanzhang participated in the Red Scarf Army led by Guo Zixing, the general of Haozhou at that time. After years of fighting in the south and north, Zhu Yuanzhang proclaimed himself emperor in 1368, with Yingtianfu as the capital, Daming as the country name and Hongwu as the year name, and established the Ming Dynasty.
