Which items of pork need quarantine?
The contents of simultaneous quarantine of pig slaughter are as follows:

From: Rules for Pig Slaughtering and Quarantine

Synchronous quarantine is to quarantine the head, hoof, viscera and carcass of the same pig according to the slaughter operation.

1 Check the head, hoof and body surface.

Check the integrity and color of the body surface, and check whether there are skin lesions and joint swelling caused by epidemic diseases stipulated in this regulation.

Observe whether there are blisters, ulcers and rotten spots on the nose, mouth, gums and hoofs.

Before bloodletting and hair regeneration, the mandibular region was cut longitudinally along the bloodletting hole until the mandibular apex, and the bilateral mandibular lymph nodes were cut, and the swollen and necrotic foci (purple, black, gray and yellow) were examined to see if the section was brick red and whether there was edema and colloid infiltration around it.

Dissect the masseter muscles on both sides, fully expose the side and check whether there is cysticercosis.

2 check the internal organs

Before taking out the viscera, observe whether there is effusion, adhesion and cellulose exudate in the chest cavity and abdominal cavity. Check spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes for intestinal anthrax. After taking out the internal organs, check the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, gastrointestinal tract, bronchial lymph nodes, hilar lymph nodes, etc.

heart

Visually inspect the pericardium, cut the pericardium, and check whether there are any symptoms such as degeneration, pericardial effusion, exudation, congestion, bleeding and necrosis. The heart was sectioned longitudinally at the atrioventricular boundary of the posterior edge of the heart parallel to the left longitudinal sulcus, and the endocardium, myocardium, coagulation state, mitral valve, tiger spot heart, cauliflower vegetation and parasites were examined.

lung

Visually check the shape, size and color of the lung, touch the elasticity, and check the lung parenchyma for necrosis, collapse, emphysema, edema, congestion, abscess, consolidation, nodules, cellulosic exudates, etc. Cut a bronchial lymph node and check for bleeding, congestion, swelling, necrosis, etc. If necessary, dissect trachea and bronchus.

liver

Visually check the shape, size, color and elasticity of the liver, and observe whether there are any pathological changes such as congestion, swelling, degeneration, yellow staining, necrosis, sclerosis, tumors, nodules, cellulosic exudates and parasites. Incite hilar lymph nodes and check for bleeding, congestion, swelling and necrosis. If necessary, dissect the bile duct.

Visually observe the shape, size, color and elasticity of the spleen, and check whether there is swelling, congestion, necrotic focus, marginal hemorrhagic infarction, capsule bulge and adhesion. Anatomy of spleen parenchyma is necessary.

Stomach and intestine

Visually observe the gastrointestinal serosa, observe the size, color and texture, and check whether there is congestion, bleeding, necrosis, colloidal exudate and adhesion. Make an arc incision on mesenteric lymph nodes with a length of not less than 20 cm, and check for congestion, bleeding, necrosis, ulcer and other lesions. If necessary, dissect the gastrointestinal tract and check the mucosa for congestion, bleeding, edema, necrosis and ulcer.

Step 3 check the body

Check the skin, subcutaneous tissue, fat, muscle, lymph nodes, bones and serosa in the chest and abdominal cavity for congestion, bleeding, rash, yellow staining, abscess and other abnormalities.

Lymph node examination

Dissect the superficial inguinal lymph nodes under the abdominal bottom wall, inside the hind limbs and near the inguinal subcutaneous ring, and check for congestion, edema, bleeding, necrosis and hyperplasia. If necessary, dissect the deep inguinal lymph nodes, inferior iliac lymph nodes and internal iliac lymph nodes.

Lumbar muscles were cut about 10 cm along the direction of muscle fibers on both sides of the joint between sacrum and lumbar spine to check whether there was cysticercosis.

kidney

Peel off the renal capsule on both sides, visually observe the shape, size, color and texture of the kidney, and observe whether there is anemia, bleeding, congestion and swelling. If necessary, the kidney should be dissected vertically to check whether there is discoloration, bleeding and protuberance in the cortical part of the section.

4 Trichinella spiralis was examined by taking about 30 grams of left and right diaphragmatic feet, which is consistent with the number of carcasses, tearing off the muscle membrane and microscopic examination after sensory examination.

5 Re-inspection The official veterinarian will re-inspect the above quarantine conditions and comprehensively judge the quarantine results.

6 result processing

Those who pass the quarantine inspection shall be issued with an animal quarantine certificate by the official veterinarian, stamped with a quarantine inspection seal, and affixed with a quarantine mark on the cut and packaged meat.

If the quarantine is unqualified, the official veterinarian shall issue a Notice of Animal Quarantine Treatment and deal with it in accordance with the following provisions.

If diseases other than these provisions are found, the supervision yard (factory, site) shall dispose of the diseased pig carcasses and by-products in accordance with the Code for Biosafety Treatment of Diseases Animals and Diseases Animal Products (GB 16548), and disinfect the contaminated sites and instruments in accordance with the provisions, and make records of biosafety treatment.

Supervise the field (factory, point) to do a good job in the harmless treatment of quarantine animals and wastes.

Official veterinarians should do a good job in health and safety protection during synchronous quarantine.

8. Quarantine records

Official veterinarians should supervise and guide slaughterhouses (factories and points) to make records of waiting slaughter, urgent slaughter and biosafety treatment.

Official veterinarians should make records of admission supervision and inspection, quarantine declaration, pre-slaughter inspection and synchronous quarantine.

Quarantine records shall be kept for more than 12 months.
