Sun Yat-sen University (hereinafter referred to as CUHK) is a comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is a national "double first-class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project" construction university. The school is located in Guangzhou, with Chen Chunsheng, Party Secretary, and Gao Song, President. The school motto is "erudition, interrogation, deliberation, discernment and perseverance".

By May 3rd, 2022, the school was composed of Guangzhou Campus, Zhuhai Campus, Shenzhen Campus, five campuses and ten affiliated hospitals, with 14 1 undergraduate majors, 53 first-class doctoral degree authorization points, 63 first-class master degree authorization points, 37 professional degree categories and postdoctoral research flow.
