An electronic periodical based on rural grass-roots units and facing grass-roots agricultural extension workers and farmers has eight columns: special forum, experimental report, demonstration and promotion, experience exchange, reform trends, promotion stars, practical technology and rambling essays.

In order to implement the principles and policies of the Party and the state on agriculture, rural areas and farmers' development, timely publicize the new achievements, new deeds, new characters and new features of grassroots agricultural extension work, show the practical achievements of agricultural extension personnel, and strengthen the sharing and exchange of agricultural extension experience. Purpose of running a journal
