From 65438 to 0923, the situation in Germany and abroad deteriorated sharply. France and Belgium invaded the Ruhr area in the name that Germany failed to fulfill the Versailles Peace Treaty and stopped paying reparations. The German government took "passive resistance" as a countermeasure, which led to a large number of domestic workers' unemployment, inflation and currency depreciation. The German Production Party put forward the slogan of opposing Fabian occupation troops and domestic capitalists, organizing a United front and establishing a government of workers and peasants. Saxony and Thuringia soon established workers' governments, and then the Hamburg Uprising broke out. But the workers' government was suppressed, the uprising soon failed, and the counter-revolutionary forces won.
