The bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics will further promote the development of the China Olympic Movement, show the comprehensive strength of China's development, enhance China's international influence, and promote the coordinated economic and social development of Beijing and Hebei.
After research, the Chinese Olympic Committee officially agreed to bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics to the International Olympic Committee in the name of Beijing, in which the ice project was undertaken by Beijing and the snow project was undertaken by Chongli, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.
On 20 1 1313, the Chinese Olympic Committee officially sent a letter to the International Olympic Committee, nominating Beijing as the bid city for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Beijing and Zhangjiakou jointly bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics, which was supported by the China Municipal Government.
