In the Western Middle Ages (14th century), the Western Enlightenment was further expanded and spread to China through western missionaries and wars, and later Lin Zexu and others. From 65438 to the 1960s and 1970s, the innate human rights, social contract theory and western bourgeois democratic thoughts put forward by enlightenment thinkers were introduced into China, which became the ideological resources to promote social change in China.
