Lushui is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. It is located in the west of Yunnan Province, bordering Fugong County in the north, Lanping Bai Pumi Autonomous County in the northeast, Yunlong County in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in the east, Longyang District in Baoshan City in the south, Tengchong City in the southwest and Myanmar in the west. The total area of this area is 3203.04 square kilometers, and the border line is 136.24 kilometers, accounting for 3.36% of the border line of Yunnan Province. Lushui is inhabited by 2/kloc-0 ethnic groups, including Lisu, Bai and Nu, and the minority population accounts for 87% of the total population. This area is located in the longitudinal valley of Hengduan Mountains, where there are magnificent and dangerous canyons and mountains. It is an important part of "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage and Shangri-La Eco-tourism Zone in China.
