Social insurance is commonly known as five insurances and one gold. "Five insurances" refers to five kinds of insurance, including endowment insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance, medical insurance and maternity insurance; "One gold" refers to the housing accumulation fund. Among them, endowment insurance, medical insurance and unemployment insurance are premiums paid by enterprises and individuals, while industrial injury insurance and maternity insurance are entirely borne by enterprises. Individuals do not need to pay fees. It should be noted here that "five risks" are legal, but "one gold" is not.

(1) Old-age insurance: that is, when workers lose their ability to work due to old age, they will be given living expenses and daily care in their old age.

(2) Unemployment insurance: that is, the payment of living expenses and medical expenses during unemployment, as well as job-changing training, self-help in production, job introduction and other safeguard measures.

(3) Work-related injury insurance: that is, it compensates the wages of workers who are injured at work and temporarily or permanently lose their ability to work, and it is also a medical care and life care measure for workers injured at work.

(4) Medical insurance: that is, income subsidies and medical insurance for employees during their illness.

(5) Maternity insurance: that is, income subsidies and safeguard measures for female employees during childbirth.
