Lu Xian County is located in the south of Sichuan Basin, with an area of 1525 square kilometers. It is connected to Yongchuan District of Chongqing and Hejiang County of Luzhou City in the east, Longmatan District and Jiangyang District in the south, Fushun County of Zigong City in the west, Rongchang District of Chongqing City and Longchang County of Neijiang City in the north. There are four landforms in Lu Xian County: low mountains and deep mountains, narrow valleys in Zhongshan, wide valleys in shallow mountains and terraces in river valleys.
The dragon culture in Lu Xian County is rich in content, including dragon dancing, dragon bridge and dragon carving. There were dragon carvings on the Han coffins in the Han Dynasty, and later there appeared more than 40 dragon bridge groups represented by a number of famous bridges such as Longnao Bridge and Shundui Bridge. All kinds of national treasure stone carvings and national intangible cultural heritage featuring Qinglong carving in Song Dynasty: Luzhou Yutan Cailong.
The colorful dragon in Yutan, located in Longdong Mountain, is a sacred object for Yutan people to set up an altar to play dragons for good weather and good harvests. He has participated in various large-scale celebrations in China for many times and has been included in the book Integration of Chinese Folk Dance. Dragon dancers require "dynamic appearance", "temperament in their hearts and spirits in their hands" when performing, and the emotions of people and dragons are integrated.
