Third, surgical treatment.
Surgical indications are: intractable ulcer that can not be cured by strict medical treatment, gastric ulcer suspected to be malignant or with serious complications, and gastric ulcer that cannot be effectively treated by medical treatment.
Prognosis: The recurrence rate can reach 50-70% within 5 years, and the recurrence rate of duodenal ulcer is higher than that of gastric ulcer.
