Porcelain is divided into celadon, black porcelain, celadon, white porcelain and colored porcelain.
1. celadon: If the iron content in the glaze is between 1%-3% in the firing process of porcelain, the glaze color is mainly bluish yellow or turquoise. This kind of celadon first appeared in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and its main varieties are secret color, pink green and plum green. Celadon fired by Yue Kiln, Song Palace Kiln, Ru Kiln and Longquan Kiln is very good.
2. Black porcelain: When black porcelain is fired, the iron content is about 8%. Its main varieties are milliglaze, oil drop glaze and tortoise shell glaze. Among them, Jian Yao in Fujian and Jizhou Kiln in Jiangxi are the most famous black porcelain.
3. Celadon: Celadon can also be called celadon. When fired, the iron content in the glaze is about 0.6% to 1%, so its glaze color is between blue and white, which is very beautiful. Jingdezhen Kiln in Jiangxi Province is a famous celadon producing area in China.
4. White porcelain: White porcelain is developed on the basis of celadon. When fired, the iron content in the glaze is below 0.63%, which is white porcelain. The lower the iron content, the whiter the porcelain. Its main products include egg white glaze, sweet white glaze and ivory white glaze. Xing Kiln, Ding Kiln and Dehua Kiln are all famous white porcelain venues.
5. Colored porcelain: Colored porcelain, also known as painted porcelain, is painted on vessels, which is divided into three types: over-glaze color, under-glaze color and combination of over-glaze color and under-glaze color. Among them, the colored porcelain of Jingdezhen kiln in Jiangxi Province is very famous.
