The TV series Heroes is adapted from the novel Qingmuchuan by Shaanxi writer Ye Guangqin. It is a modern legendary drama jointly created by Shanghai New Culture Media Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xidi Film and Television Communication Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xinbaoyuan Film and Television Investment Co., Ltd., starring Sun, Sun and Sun.
Based on Leifeng Town, a poor and backward town in southern Shaanxi in the 1920s, the play tells the story of how to avenge the death of his father after studying abroad, injecting fresh air into his hometown with advanced ideas, and going to the People's Liberation Army at a critical moment to promote the peaceful liberation of the town.

Wei Zhengxian, the former militia leader, is He's enemy. He sized up the situation in Tang Fu, and for a pretence defected to the bandit Wang Sanchun. In the struggle of various forces, He Tang Fu was immune and saved Wei Zhengxian's wife Cheng Lixue by mistake. Cheng Lixue felt the beauty and backwardness of Qingmuchuan and decided to stay in Qingmuchuan to teach and enlighten people's wisdom. However, "the hate of taking away his wife" made Wei Zhengxian angry. In the name of "suppressing bandits", he incited the Kuomintang troops stationed in Hanzhong to invade Qingmuchuan, and he took the opportunity to offer the giant bandit Wang Sanchun to the government of the Republic of China, thus avoiding the disaster of war.
