Although life is hard, Wang Jinxi has never suffered, but has developed a strong character. 1950, Wang Jinxi knew that he was recruiting drillers, so he signed up. After the examination, Wang Jinxi officially became the first batch of drilling workers.

During his work, Wang Jinxi performed well. He not only works hard, but also has a positive mind. He was promoted to captain because of his outstanding achievements. During this period, he created the highest record of China's monthly footage of 5,009.3m, and was called "the pioneer of drilling".

In the 1960s, the annual oilfield began to be developed. Wang Jinxi was injured in the leg while handling equipment, but he still worked with injuries. His professionalism is admirable.

At that time, during drilling, because the bottom pressure was too high, a blowout suddenly occurred. Seeing that many days' efforts would be in vain, Wang Jinxi jumped directly without hesitation. Encouraged by this, the workers jumped into the mud pit to help, and finally successfully subdued the blowout. At this point, Wang Jinxi won the title of "Iron Man".

At the end of that year, the drilling team led by Wang Jinxi drilled 19 wells, with a penetration of 2 1.258 meters, which set six highest records in one fell swoop, and Wang Jinxi's name was suddenly known to everyone.

It was such a down-to-earth person, but later he got seriously ill. 1970, Wang Jinxi got worse and died at the age of 47. His body was buried in the "Revolutionary Cemetery" in Babaoshan to express the gratitude of the country to him.

The eldest son, Wang Yueping, worked in Daqing Oilfield and became the vice president of the underground resources development company. The eldest daughter, Wang Ying, also works in Daqing Oilfield like her eldest brother. Although she is an ordinary worker, she has been conscientious and has retired now.

The second son, Wang Yuefu, used to work in Daqing Oilfield like his brother and sister, and later turned to be a teacher. The second daughter, Wang Yuzhen, joined the army and worked in a hospital after she retired. The youngest daughter died of illness when she was young.

Wang Jinxi's story not only inspired several generations of oil workers, but also set a good example for the working class.
