A long history
Flamengo was founded in1895165438+1015. At first, it was just a rowing team established by a number of rowing enthusiasts, aiming at developing and popularizing this elite sport in Rio de Janeiro at the end of19th century, and causing a sensation among young women in the middle and upper classes. However, they can only afford a second-hand rowing boat, which must be repaired before the official competition. The rowing team/kloc-0 made its debut on October 6th, 1895, 10. They set out from Maria Angu Beach in Cape Cayo and took Flamengo Beach as their destination. However, the strong wind overturned the rowing boat and they almost drowned.
