Polyphonic harmonica
Polyphonic harmonica, also called vibrating harmonica, is a diatonic harmonica composed of double rows of blowholes. The pitches of the upper row of reeds and the lower row of reeds will be adjusted to a slight gap, and each sound is emitted by two reeds with the same pitch. Because these two reeds are both blowholes or suction holes, they vibrate at the same time when playing, and the subtle pitch difference between the two reeds will produce a beautiful vibration effect. This harmonica is suitable for playing folk songs and country music, such as Latin American, Asian and European folk songs. This is also the most popular harmonica in Asia.
Accented harmonica
The mechanism of stress harmonica and polyphonic harmonica is the same, and the arrangement of reeds and scales is the same. The difference is that the pitches of the two reeds of the same sound differ by an octave. Full timbre, no vibration effect. Suitable for playing ancient folk music and Irish music.
