Qu Yuan (340 BC-278 BC), named Ping, was born in the State of Chu and had the same surname as the King of Chu. In his early years, he won the trust of the king, and he was an official disciple and doctor. Due to the opposition of the aristocratic conservative group, he was finally defeated, alienated by Wang Huai, and exiled to Hanbei. When Ying, the capital of Chu, was attacked by Qin Jun, he threw himself into the Miluo River in a state of hesitation, frustration, indignation and melancholy. His works include Li Sao, Tian Wen, Nine Songs, Nine Chapters, Evocation and so on, which artistically express his deep feelings of loving the motherland from different aspects.
Second, a brief introduction to the works of Li Sao.
1 Lisao is a poem written by Qu Yuan, a poet in China during the Warring States Period, and the longest lyric poem in ancient China. This poem centers on the poet's life experience, experience and mental journey. The first half repeatedly confided the poet's concern about the fate of Chu and people's life, expressing his desire to reform politics and his will to stick to his ideals and never compromise with evil forces even in times of disaster. The second half reflects the poet's thoughts and feelings of patriotism and love for the people after wandering in heaven, pursuing the realization of ideals and dying after failure.
2. The whole poem uses the metaphor of beauty and vanilla, a lot of myths and legends and rich imagination, forming a gorgeous literary talent and magnificent structure, showing a positive romantic spirit, creating a "Sao style" poetry form in the history of China literature, which has a far-reaching impact on later generations. Its main annotations are Wang Yi's Chapters and Sentences of Chu Ci in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhu's Notes on Chu Ci in the Southern Song Dynasty and Dai Zhen's Notes on Qu Yuan in the Qing Dynasty.
Third, the appreciation of works
Li Sao is a magnificent lyric poem, which enjoys a lofty position in the history of China literature. This masterpiece was written when Qu Yuan was exiled to the south of the Yangtze River. It was a poet's work full of patriotic passion and expressing his worries. Qu yuan felt that his way of governing the country could not be accepted by the king of Chu, so he had to walk away in grief and indignation to seek an ideal way of life.
2. He used romanticism in this poem and made a lyrical description: he set out from Cangwu in the morning and arrived at the hanging garden in the evening. How tired it is to run around all day! I want to have a rest outside the palace gate, but I can't! Time is pressing and it's getting dark. I asked xi to stop driving. The cave is in front of us. Don't go near it! The distance in front of us is so long and so far, and I have made up my mind to persistently find the ideal lifestyle.
3. This poem in Qu Yuan's Li Sao has become a famous sentence for many people to encourage themselves. There is a popular explanation: "There is still a long way to go in the pursuit of truth, but I will persevere and spare no effort to pursue and explore." In fact, this is not the original meaning of this sentence in the original poem
4. If you put this sentence back in the original poem, you can understand it together with the context, without taking it out of context, and freely play the quotation, you can get in touch with the perfect artistic connotation that Qu Yuan wants to express to later generations, and see a plump, vivid and reasonable artistic image. Its benefits will be far greater than just shouting it as a slogan, and it can also get rid of the violent and stubborn spirit in the previous explanation.
