1. Buddhism:
It is the largest religion in the world. Buddhism was founded by Gautama Siddharta in ancient India in the 6th century BC. He was born in present-day Nepal, and he is the prince of Sakya tribe. He began to practice at the age of 29 and founded the teachings of Buddhism. Later, it was introduced to other parts of Asia, and now it is mainly distributed in eastern and southeastern Asia. Buddhism in a broad sense is a religion, including its classics, rituals, habits, the organization of religious order and so on. But Buddhism is very special among the major religions and thoughts in the world.
2. Christianity:
It is the religion with the largest number of followers in the world, which was born in the first half of the first century. Christianity was formed in western Asia, and now it is mainly distributed in Europe, America and Oceania. Christianity is a religion that believes in Jesus Christ as the savior. Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodox Church, Christian Maronites and so on are collectively called Christianity.
3. Islam:
It came into being in the 6th century and is called the three major religions in the world together with Buddhism and Christianity. In the past, China was called "big food law", "big food religion", "Arabia", "pure religion", "return to Islam" and "Islam". Islam is a transliteration of Arabic, meaning "obedience" and "peace". It refers to obeying and believing in Allah, the only supreme ruler of the universe, and his will in order to seek peace and tranquility between the two worlds. People who believe in Islam are collectively called "Muslims" (meaning "obedience").
Three major religions in the world:
Christianity includes three major Christian sects, namely Catholicism, Protestantism and Orthodox Church, among which Orthodox Church has relatively few followers compared with Catholicism and Protestantism. Islam includes Sunnis and Shiites, among which Sunnis are the majority. Buddhism has Mahayana Buddhism, Shangpai Buddhism and other sects.
