Pingchang County (Korean:? Pyeongchang is located in gangwon, South Korea,180km east of Seoul, with a population of less than 50,000. It is a famous holiday mountain city in Korea. Pyeongchang has a beautiful natural environment and is especially suitable for winter sports.

Its city slogan is "Happy 700", because the average elevation of Pingchang County is about 700 meters, which is said to be the most suitable height for human habitation.
