Hua Yao Middle School is famous for its long history, simple school spirit and talented people. From 65438 to 0927, Mr. Zhuang Lefeng founded Tianjin Public School. 1934 changed its name to Hua Yao School, which means "Glory to China", and put forward the school motto of "diligence and simplicity, faithfulness and sincerity" and a profound school song. With the accumulation of history and the inheritance of culture, Hua Yao Middle School has gradually formed the characteristics of "rigorous scholarship, standardized management, advocating democracy and cultivating outstanding talents" and won the trust of the society. 1952 was renamed as Tianjin 16th Middle School, and 1988 was renamed as "Tianjin Hua Yao Middle School". In the same year, an experimental class of extraordinary education was established. 1994, founded Huaxing middle school, a junior middle school aided by the government. In 2003, it cooperated with Beijing Jiacheng Cecilia Yip Information Consulting Co., Ltd. and renamed Huaxing Middle School as Tianjin Hua Yao Jiacheng International Middle School. In 2003, Hua Yao Middle School began to recruit high school students for the whole country.
With the support of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, the reconstruction and expansion project of Hua Yao Middle School started on 200 1 and was delivered in August 2003. The existing building area of Hua Yao Middle School is about 64,000 square meters, covering an area of 80 mu. There are quaint and elegant teaching buildings, libraries with books of1.2000 volumes, modern laboratories, science and education halls and comprehensive buildings (network centers), well-equipped gymnasiums, gymnasiums, basketball courts, football fields, a 400-meter circular runway, swimming pools, restaurants that can accommodate1.8000 people, and scenic places under state protection.

As early as 1930s and 1940s, Qian Weichang, a famous physicist, and Zhang Xiaohu, a famous music theorist, once taught at Huayao.
