In order to promote the prosperity of Xiamen's tourism market and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Xiamen and its surrounding areas, Xiamen Tourism Distribution Center began to build in September 2006. Located in the lakeside coach station with convenient transportation, the center is a collection and distribution point with the function of a tourist supermarket, with the aim of "facilitating Xiamen citizens to travel and attracting millions of people to visit Xiamen".
