1975 In the 33rd World Table Tennis Championships, with Park Young-soon winning the women's singles title, the North Korean team entered the ranks of the world's top teams. At the 4 1 World Table Tennis Championships held in Chiba, Japan, North Korea and South Korea formed a United team for the first time and beat China in the final. Two years later, China successfully retaliated in Gothenburg. At the 43rd World Table Tennis Championships in 1995 and the 46th World Table Tennis Championships in 2000/kloc-0, the North Korean team once again launched an attack on the China team and finally failed. However, at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, North Korea defeated China again and won the women's team championship. Since then, with the rise of Singapore, Japan and other teams, the North Korean team has been silent on the stage of the World Championships for ten years.
