Mountain artillery was originally the jargon of "beard" (bandit) in Northeast China. Artillery was very popular at that time. The bandits got some native guns and two pistols, but the quality was poor. Even if the quality is good and the gunner's level is poor, the gun is always inaccurate.
Over time, people collectively referred to these guns as mountain guns, and bandits also joked with mountains. A person who doesn't understand things clearly, or doesn't think well, or does stupid things, or has outdated knowledge (not new knowledge, but second-hand), or outdated clothes, is called a mountain gun.
In the 1920s, as the Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief of Northeast China, Mr. Zhang Xueliang vigorously promoted education reform. Supported by the strong economy in Northeast China, national celebrities and even foreign professors gathered in Fengtian (Shenyang). Many generals from bandits also need to be re-educated. Dialects such as Shanpao were gradually lost.
