In September of the third year of Xuande (1428), in order to guard against the sudden attack of Mongolian army, Zhu Zhanji personally led troops to patrol the border. When I went to xifengkou, Shimenyi, I received a report from the Shoujiang that Mongolia's boundless hordes had invaded Daming, moving rapidly and fiercely. After Daning and Huizhou, we will arrive in He Kuan soon.
At the age of 15, Zhu Zhanji, who followed his grandfather Judy in his personal expedition to Mongolia, was very calm after hearing this report. He immediately deployed with the generals to analyze the enemy's situation. According to years of combat experience, he knew that although the Mongolian army was huge, it also had weaknesses. Their marching is concentrated, and their fighting capacity is far from that of the Ming army. Zhu Zhanji thinks there are not many soldiers, but they are good. He personally selected 3000 fighters to fly there, and each cavalry took two war horses for a rainy day. They all wore armor and spent more than ten days with magic weapons and dry food. The horses' mouths were clamped by instruments to keep them quiet, and all the soldiers were not allowed to talk, so they galloped and marched quietly. They soon came to the wide river, which is only twenty miles away from Wuliangha camp.
With fewer marchers, it is easy to paralyze the enemy and make the enemy despise it.
Sure enough, when the Mongolian sentry saw Zhu Zhanji's army, he thought it was an ordinary soldier guarding the frontier, so the whole army came to fight.
Zhu Zhanji ordered the soldiers to attack the enemy's waist in two ways. They shot with arrows first. Zhu Zhanji "Catch the thief first, catch the king first". He personally shot and killed three enemy pioneers. The enemy lost control. When they saw the Ming army swooping down from both sides, they were afraid to move forward.
In the enemy's stupidity, Zhu Zhanji ordered the Ming army to keep firing magic spears. In the face of such great firepower, Mongolian soldiers could not resist at all. Soon, most of the enemy troops were killed or injured, and the rest fled.
Some inescapable enemies saw Zhu Zhanji's Huanglongqi, only to know that it was the personal expedition of Emperor Daming. They all dismounted, bowed down for mercy and shouted for surrender. Zhu Zhanji bound these people and captured a large number of horses and equipment, as well as cattle, sheep, camels and other livestock of Wuliangha cavalry.
The next day, Zhu Zhanji ordered the captured leader to be displayed as an example. Then Zhu Zhanji ordered the generals to search for and kill the nearby Mongolian tribes. He killed 10,000 rebellious Mongols, captured more than 100 tribal leaders, and harvested a large number of men, women, cattle, sheep and horses, including many boys.
In order to avoid future troubles, the generals in Zhu Zhanji suggested killing boys over 10, which was rejected by the kind Zhu Zhanji. He ordered these people to be untied, given food and finally brought back to China.
The reason why Zhu Zhanji won.
1, Zhu Zhanji has excellent command ability.
Zhu Zhanji got a military biography from his grandfather Judy at an early age. 15 years old went to the battlefield and fought bravely. Once he was almost captured because of recklessness, which tempered his courage, increased his lessons and combat experience, and also created his calm character on the battlefield in the future. This time, he calmly commanded, converging in two ways, and attacking from a long distance to win more with less.
2. The quality of the army is excellent and the cooperation is in place.
Zhu Zhanji's 3000 cavalry troops belong to the capital forces. They are strict in all aspects of training equipment, high in military quality, skilled in combat, skilled in archery and strong in coordination. He has a good opportunity to win, and he can command the army to use bows and arrows first and then use layers of ware at the first time, so that the enemy has no strength to fight back.
3. Advanced weapons
The Ming Dynasty was the leader of magic weapons in the world. In the eighth year of Yongle, Judy got the "Divine Marksmanship", which has been continuously developed and applied to the battlefield, making the application of firearms more professional. He set up special arms to travel with the emperor, equipped with muskets, ware, etc., and Mongolian soldiers could not cope with the most advanced weapons in the world at all.
