Let go of the debate, that is, "speak out, let go, have a big debate and write big-character posters", referred to as the "Big Four". 1957 in the spring, the China * * * production party began the rectification movement, and the masses actively put forward opinions and suggestions on the problems existing in the party's work. However, a few Rightists used the slogan of "Let a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend" put forward by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to demand "speak out and a hundred schools of thought contend", and many of their remarks were essentially attacks on the nascent socialist system and the party's leading position. The complicated situation, the practice of speaking out, debating and posting big-character posters on a large scale have formed a state of national political instability. China's * * * production party mobilized the masses to fight against the Rightists in the same way as the "Big Four" method, but this struggle was seriously expanded. During the Cultural Revolution, the "Big Four" evolved into the main means to resist the so-called capitalist establishment and seize power. 1975, the "Big Four" was written into the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC). 1978 The revised Constitution still lists the "Big Four" as people's democratic rights. 1In mid-February, 980, the Fifth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee held that the "Big Four" did not play a positive role in safeguarding people's democratic rights, but hindered people's normal exercise of democratic rights. In September of the same year, the Third Session of the Fifth National People's Congress made a resolution to cancel the stipulation in Article 45 of the Constitution that citizens "have the right to express their opinions, express their opinions, debate and write big-character posters".
