He believes that the fatal drawback of Lecture Room is that it allows scholars to sacrifice academics for telling stories. This short, flat and fast way will make the audience lose their rational reflection ability and lose their reading and thinking functions.

Offering public elective courses such as History of Western Philosophy and Introduction to Western Culture to all students is very popular with students. There is a saying among the students of Wuhan University: "If you haven't listened to Mr. Zhao Lin's class in the four years of school, it means that you haven't attended Wuhan University." In recent ten years, almost all colleges and universities in Wuhan have given special lectures, and they have also been invited to Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University, Shandong University, Donghai University in Taiwan Province Province, Foguang University and Macau University to give special lectures. In August 2000, he led the debate team of Wuhan University to win the second national junior college debate competition sponsored by CCTV, and in August 20001,he led the debate team of Wuhan University to participate in the fifth international junior college debate competition held in Singapore and won the runner-up.

A debate contest in Wuhan University was judged and summarized by Mr. Zhao Lin. But after the game, he was also evaluated by others: an unruly general, who spoke like a flowing stream, and his last words were almost more wonderful than the whole debate.
