I thought this movie would be unique, just like the Mission Impossible series. Unexpectedly, this film is not only closely related to the previous film Grand Theft Auto: Total War, but also more related to the original TV series. In order to take care of the feelings of TV fans, the film adds more important characters in TV dramas and many interesting eggs that only TV fans can understand.
Rogue heroes, as the name implies, are hooligans and heroes. The rascal in the TV series refers to the detective Wang Chen of the North Branch, and the hero is naturally the detective champion Wu Hero of the South Branch. Rogues and heroes, black &; White, when both light and darkness exist, people will pay more attention to the representative hooligans of darkness. The author also thinks that the rascal played by Zaizai has propped up most of the original TV series, but Mark Chao, who debuted as a newcomer, is still quite decent. However, no matter how tragic and deep the darkness is, it is always the brightest light in front of people. In fact, in the TV series, the rascal's past has been fully excavated and there is nothing to show. On the contrary, he is a hero. His past is almost blank, which gives room for film creation.
Therefore, this series of rogue hero movies is a prequel to the TV series, which tells the glorious experience of Wu Hero growing from a trainee police officer to a champion in solving crimes in the South Branch. However, since the name is rogue hero, it is natural to add the role of rogue in the film to replace the vacancy of Vic Zhou. To tell the truth, Bo Huang's Xu Dafu still got the essence of riffraff. Although this role is not as deep as Chen's, it is far better than Lin Xin's detective of East University of Science and Technology in this film. After watching the movie, the author couldn't understand the intention of joining the role of Zhen Chen. Maybe it's just because Chen and Chen are both surnamed Chen in the sky, and they are both the king of solving crimes in the branch. Nothing to do with hooligans, is it just for a partner? Rogues and heroes are the same. Now that the hero has been successfully promoted to the core protagonist, the role of the rascal is not a matter of retreating to the second line, but should disappear completely, so as not to announce that he will send troops to grab the limelight of the protagonist in the biography of Wu Hero. After watching this movie, you will find a lot of "amazing discoveries": Big boss Lansion blocked the Harbour City to implement the hay plan. Is it like Payne blocked gotham city to fight local tyrants and distribute real estate in The Rise of the Dark Knight? Lansion implanted the virus into Du Xiaoqing as a living Petri dish. Is it exactly the same as the heroine in Mission Impossible 2? Lan Sian asked Wu Hero to make a choice, just like the clown in The Dark Knight. The most important point is that the slogan of the villain Lansing in this film comes from the population explosion in Dan Brown's new book Hell. When Lansing mentioned that the Black Death catalyzed the Renaissance and the plague ended World War I, I really thought I was watching the movie version of Hell. It is a pity that Lansing, like Payne, is doing the dirty work of terrorists under the banner of nobility. Finally, Lansing became a criminal in stark raving mad. However, the appearance of the President of Harbour City and the Minister of National Defense, as well as the government tactics mentioned in the film, made the author shine at the moment-this is the continuation of the plot in Grand Theft Auto: Total War, which continues to pave the way for the plot of the TV series (although we already know the plot of the TV series and the fate of many characters, which also makes the author feel very unhappy when looking at the familiar faces in the film).
Having said that, I have to introduce the appearance of classic characters in TV series in this film! Hulk, Xiao Lv, Lao Li and the head of the Southern District Crime Unit will not be mentioned. The new film includes the female inspector No.2 C-Yin Lan in the TV series (in fact, she appeared in the first film), Huang Shikai, who has not been brainwashed into Ma Xiaoming by Paradise, Cheng Nuo, the killer in Nightcrawler project, the president of Harbour City, and the defense minister, one of the bosses in the TV series. Of course, in addition to these familiar characters, there are also some eggs to take care of TV dramas. For example, the death of his father, plans, the historic meeting with Lansing, the president and Wu. More eggs and surprises need to be found in the movie.
The problem of this film is also quite serious. What I want to vomit most is that as a Taiwan Province provincial film, the political place is still harmonious, just like the first film. Moreover, during the movie, a large section of subtitles and voice were out of sync. I don't know if it's because the movie was deleted and the subtitles didn't adjust the time track. Many scenes in the film are also unnatural, which always makes the author suspect that it has been deleted.
The biggest problem with movies is special effects. This movie, like The Expendables 3, has a serious abuse of special effects. Friends who have seen the last movie know that except an imaginary nuclear explosion scene and the last plane scene are made of special effects, other major action scenes, such as racing cars, explosions, helicopters and so on, are all real shots. In this film, almost all of them are presented with special effects, or the scenes are beautified with special effects. This leads to distortion in many places. Especially, the distortion of the object's trajectory and the loss of gravity sense are the most common problems in special effects. Because I watched the 2D version, I can't verify the 3D effect of the movie. I really want to know why special effects should be used to render scenes that can be like the first real shot.
In addition to special effects, the fighting scenes in the movie are also quite serious. In fact, if you look closely, you will find that the combativeness is quite weak. Although the action looks fierce and real, it doesn't actually feel like meat. Actors don't work hard at all, they just shout. Whenever an actor moves, he shouts loudly, which makes you feel that he has made a strong and fierce effort, but you can see from the physical stress after they are recruited, it is really too soft.
Generally speaking, the ambition of the film is quite huge, which reflects the director's efforts to create an epic sense of darkness, and has joined many profound discussions on the evolution of human civilization and human nature. This movie is a deliberate study of the Dark Knight series. But the film is terrible in suspense and narrative. Compared with the previous film, the length of the film is shortened by half an hour, which is not compact but looser, and the process of solving the case is obviously a waste of time. Grand Theft Auto: The Dawn Rises shows us what is the psychological gap, and what is the greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment.
