On the whole, the streets and lanes of the ancient town of Zhuoshui are in the pattern of "five streets, seven lanes, three palaces and seven courtyards". "Five Streets" are distributed in the north and south. From south to north, they are Banbian Street, Jiangxi Street, Zhongjie Street, Laoyanxing Street and Lijia Old Street. The "Seven Alleys" are all east-west, namely, drunken fragrance, water fragrance, Wang Jiaxiang, Wantiangong Lane, Dyeing House, Yujiaxiang Lane and Tan Jia Lane.

Development history
In the 13th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1735), Geng went to Youyang to "change the soil into a stream", and the propaganda and comfort department of Youyang was changed to Youyang County, where he was transferred to Pengqiantang, and Zhuoshui belonged to the three townships in the north and south of Youyang County. Since then, the market has sprung up everywhere.
In the first year of Guangxu (1875), Youyang House was divided into four roads and eighteen townships, and Zhuoshui was the north three townships of the five townships of the North Road. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), Zhuoshui was changed from Zhuohe Dam to Zhuoshui Town, the third district of Youyang County. In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), Zhuoshui Town was changed to Zhuoshui Town.
On July 3rd 1952, Zhuoshui (formerly District 9, Youyang County), Lianghekou, Feng Jia, Mala Lake and Xuetangping were placed under Qianjiang County. 1953 changed its name to Zhuoshui Village. 1958 changed its name to turbid water commune. On July 30th 1985, it was renamed as Zhuoshui Town.
