1. Make sure that the USB cable is Omron's programming cable.

2. Find the com number of the programming line in the port of the computer device manager.

3. Open the project CPM1(CPM1a) CPU10.

4. On the software interface, double-click the new PLC CPM 1(CPM 1A) in the left workspace window.

5. In the plc replacement interface that pops up, click the drop-down menu of equipment type, select CPM 1(CPM 1A), and click the setting button on the right.

Change the CPU type to CPU20 and confirm.

6. Click the Settings button on the right side of the network type, select the drive, change the port name, and find the programming line in the port of the computer device manager.

Now you should be able to connect to PLC, CPM 1(CPM 1A)CPU20.
