2. The economic role of the Non-Aligned Movement: The Non-Aligned Movement has promoted economic cooperation and exchanges among developing countries and promoted the development of the world economy.
From the day it emerged, the Non-Aligned Movement took the struggle in the international economic field as one of its important contents. With the in-depth development of the national liberation struggle and the changes in the world economic situation, non-aligned countries are increasingly aware of the importance of developing national economy and striving for national economic independence. The Non-Aligned Movement aims at establishing a new international economic order. They realize that to achieve "economic independence on the basis of equality and mutual benefit", the old unreasonable international economic relations must be completely changed. They put forward the idea of establishing a "just new economic order", affirmed the slogan of establishing a "new international economic order" put forward by the Group of 77, and regarded it as a "new global development strategy" for non-aligned countries and other developing countries. When considering economic development, the countries of the Non-Aligned Movement sum up historical experiences and lessons, emphasize the collective self-reliance of developing countries and promote "South-South cooperation".
