The main problems solved at this meeting are:

1 ? Re-established the party's Marxist ideological line. The plenary session resolutely criticized the wrong policy of "two whatevers", spoke highly of the discussion on the standard of truth, and determined the guiding principles of emancipating the mind, using your head, seeking truth from facts and looking forward in unity.

2 ? Re-established the Marxist political line. The plenary session resolutely stopped using the slogan of "taking class struggle as the key link" and "continuing revolution under the dictatorship of the proletariat", made a strategic decision to shift the focus of work to socialist modernization, and put forward the task of reforming all aspects of the work of the party and the state with great foresight.

3 ? Re-established the correct organizational line of the party. Put forward the task of perfecting socialist democracy and strengthening socialist legal system, reviewed and solved a number of major unjust, false and misjudged cases in the history of the Party and the merits and demerits of some important leaders, and corrected the wrong conclusions of Peng, Bo Yibo and Yang in the past. Chen Yun was elected as vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Deng, Hu Yaobang and the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee were appointed as members, and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection headed by Chen Yun was elected. The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee is an important meeting with far-reaching significance in the history of the Party since the founding of the People's Republic of China. It fundamentally broke through the serious shackles of long-term "Left" errors, corrected the party's guiding ideology and re-established the party's correct Marxist line. It has played a great historical role in bringing order out of chaos, proposing reform tasks and promoting rural reform.
