Sichuan Army refers to one of the warlord factions in the Republic of China. Different from other local factions, the Sichuan Army has never formed a unified system, with Liu Cunhou and Xiong Kewu in the early stage and Liu Xiang in the later stage. After Liu Xiang's death, the Sichuan Army formed a situation in which five generals, Deng Xihou, Yang Sen, Pan Wenhua, Liu and Wang, competed for hegemony, which outsiders called the Sichuan Army's five elements of fire, water and soil. The internal factions are complex and the defense system is prevalent. The fierce civil war is famous all over the country. During the Anti-Japanese War, Sichuan paid 30% tax and 10% soldiers. The monument to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in Chongqing represents the most colorful chapter.
