First, the original "Ode to History" Tang Li Shangyin
Looking at the countries and families of former sages, they became thrifty and extravagant. Why amber is a pillow, and real pearls are cars. If you don't meet Qinghai horses far away, it will be difficult to pull out the snakes in Shushan. Several people sang songs in the south in advance, and finally Cangwu cried for Cui Hua.
Two. notes

2, Qinghai horse: Dragon horse, attributed to.
3. Shushan Snake: This is a metaphor for eunuchs and courtiers.
4. Nanxun Song: "Nanfeng Song" sung in the same year made the world peaceful.
5. Cangwu: According to legend, it is the place where Shun was buried.
6. Cui Hua: The Emperor's Ceremony.
Third, appreciate
On the basis of summing up the ruling experience of past dynasties, the first couplet of the poem draws the conclusion that success is mostly due to thrift and failure is mostly due to luxury. The first two sentences seem to be abstract comments, not like poems. Actually, I'm not talking, but I'm saying: What should make the country prosperous and diligent like literate Sect? How can it be destroyed? Here is full of regret and sympathy, which is lyrical rather than argumentative. It is very special to express feelings through superficial discussion.
Fourth, the background
This poem was written after the death of Wenzong in the fifth year of Tang Kaicheng (840). After Tang Wenzong acceded to the throne, he vigorously extravagant and thrifty. At that time, there was a dispute between the cronies of the DPRK and China, and eunuchs controlled the imperial army, interfered in state affairs and even killed the emperor. Literati tried to regain power and twice tried to punish eunuchs, both of which ended in failure. In the end, Wenzong became depressed and died with hatred. Li Shangyin wrote this poem in memory of literate Sect.
